Pre-Christmas Menu 2017

Our Pre-Christmas Menu is available for lunch and dinner bookings from Wednesday 6th December to and including Christmas Eve (Luncheon only on 24th December). We are closed on Christmas Day & Boxing Day.



Beetroot Cured Salmon - pickled beetroot, horseradish crème fraiche

Celeriac and Chestnut Velouté - thyme Chantilly

Truffled Chicken Terrine - leek and hazelnut salad

Goats Curd - quince, walnut, granola

Squid Ink Risotto - coriander, shaved fennel, parmesan


Roast Devonshire Turkey
roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, chestnut stuffing, gravy

Braised Beef Cheek 
creamed potato, roasted carrots, carrot puree, red wine jus
Pan-Fried Pollock
 fennel gratin, braised leeks, leek puree, fennel velouté

Roasted Sea Trout
cauliflower, shaved and roasted, raisin, smoked cods roe emulsion (£2.50 extra) 

Parmesan Gnocchi 
braised baby gem, parmesan shavings, burnt onion 


Traditional Christmas Pudding - brandy sauce

Yoghurt Pannacotta - roasted pear, gingerbread ice cream

Westcountry Cheese Board - homemade chutney, crackers (£2 extra)

Dark Chocolate Tart - griottine cherries, cherry sorbet
Blood Orange Mousse - carrot cake, caramelised white chocolate

 for parties of 6 or more a discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to your bill

For parties of 6 or more a £5.00 per person non-refundable deposit will be taken when the booking is made and we will require a pre-order to be made and given to us 1 week in advance of the booking.

Make a night of it:
Don't forget we have 9 lovely en-suite rooms which are ideal to take the hassel of getting home at the end of the night.
